And We're Off

First part of any trip is getting there.  That is what is happening now.

Moving through clear air.  It's easier to break the commute into pieces rather than think about 14 hours of plane travel.

Got a taste of political acrimony this morning.  One of my hold over swag pieces is a gadget bag I received from NBC with the MSNBC logo on it.  I like it because it has nifty zip pockets for the travel documents.  It also holds this tablet, my headphones and other things to make the commute easier.  One of the Albany passengers felt compelled to seek me out, while I was in line to board, to share his less than complimentary thoughts about the network.  He concluded by telling me it was "the worst."  More than once.  I gave him a pleasant smile and turned the display off on my thought bubble.  Really, I was in no mood.  I just want to see the mountains, the bears and the rest of Alaska.
